The best times to climb Kilimanjaro are during the dry seasons: January to mid-March and June to October. These periods offer the most stable weather conditions with clear skies and minimal rainfall. January to March is generally warmer but can be cloudy, while June to October is cooler with clearer views but more crowded.

Kilimanjaro is a challenging but non-technical climb, meaning you don't need mountaineering experience. However, it's still a strenuous high-altitude trek. The main challenge is the altitude rather than technical climbing. Success depends on your fitness level, proper acclimatization, and mental preparation. We recommend at least 3-6 months of physical training before your climb.

Essential items include: moisture-wicking base layers, insulating layers, waterproof jacket and pants, warm hat and gloves, sun hat, sunglasses, hiking boots (broken in), sleeping bag (rated to -10°C/14°F), headlamp with extra batteries, water bottles or hydration system, personal medications, and toiletries.
