A Family Legacy Born in Tanzania
Lusungulwamtwa Safaris is proudly a local, family-owned safari company, created out of a genuine passion for Tanzania’s wilderness and people. The name Lusungulwamtwa comes from the Wabena tribe of Makambako in southern Tanzania, and it carries a sacred meaning—“Huruma ya Mungu” or God’s Mercy. For us, this name represents gratitude for the land we call home, the mercy of life itself, and the privilege of sharing Tanzania’s beauty with travelers from across the globe.
Our Beginning in 2019
Our journey started in 2019, when our family turned a dream into reality. With years of guiding and safari experience, we saw an opportunity to create something more personal—safaris built on trust, care, and a true connection with guests.
